Avatar Movie News
In the excitement leading up to the finale, I neglected to post a bit of news on the Avatar movie. The movie, to be entitled “The Last Airbender”, is set for release on July 2, 2010. Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko, the creators of Avatar, are going to serve as executive producers for the film. An article can be found about the movie here, and information on who exactly is involved in the movie is available here.

I just wish that it was sooner than 2 years away! I’m not sure I can be completely satisfied with it. Of course it will be good, because it’s Avatar, but will it be as good as the series?

Cody-
I doubt it will be as good as the series was, but apparently it’s supposed to be a very faithful recreation of book 1, so it should be enjoyable at least. Unlike terrible movies like Eragon which claim to base off of something but don’t keep at all to the plotline…
I’m still mad about the Eragon movie…

for the movie “the last airbender” M. Night Shyamalan is the true director of the film. with the two co creators helping and do not worry at all about the film being a flop. At first m. night wanted to every last bit of the series except of the “recapping” episodes - tales of ba sing se ang ember island players. but those two would have been in movie #2 and movie #3. but the co creators said no it will be a reasonable legenth movie . So for all you worriers out there if the director of the movie wanted to take every last minute of the series of book one, book two, book three, except the two episodes i said eariler then I think he will make a great movie of the last airbender. and this time the only real thing you have to worry about is cgi efeect. are they going to be awesome or Ok. Because sometimes when he gets involved in his work the effects go down the drain by the end, but with AVATAR I THINK EVERYTHING WILL CAME OUT DIFFERENT AND THESE 3 MOVIES WILL BE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!
