As you have probably noticed by now, waterbender now has 2 new layouts, 2 different forms of a general black theme. However, I’m not quite satisfied. As a webmaster, layout design has never been quite my thing. If you’d like to make a layout for waterbender, or improve on an old one (knowledge of CSS is required, basic photo shopping skills optional), go to the feedback form and select “Layout Contest” from the drop down menu. Or, check out this page. Enter your expereicne with CSS and making layouts, and, if possible, examples of your work into the feedback form, and I’ll reply with the URL to the page with the actual info, which contains everything you’ll need to make a layout within the parameters I’ve already created. If you have a good knowledge of CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), it doesn’t take long. I’ll be sure to credit you in accordance with your layout once you make it and send it to me, and, since waterbender receives almost 1,000 unique visitors everyday, you can be sure your layout will be seen.

The box set for book 2 of avatar was announced today by TV Shows on DVD.com. Two pictures of the DVD, which releases on September 11th, can be seen here (box art only) and here (box art with discs sticking out). This appears to roughly coincide with the probable air date of Book 3, and releases about a month after volume 4 of the individual DVD’s come out.

This DVD will also, like the first box set, contain a bonus disc of special features, in addition to all of the episodes on 4 discs. ASN is reporting that the special features on the bonus disc will have subtitles. The exact content of the bonus disc, and whether or not it only contains all the special features on the individual DVD’s (like the first box set) is yet to be revealed.

Rejoice! One way or another, DVD quality screencaps for at least episodes 01 through 25 will start to go up asap. Stand by for that!

Sorry for the late notice, but the Book 2: Volume 4 DVD was announced recently, check out details here. It will be out on August 14th of this year, meaning that all the episodes of Avatar aired to date will be available on DVD before the beginning of Book 3 (most likely).

I wasn’t sure whether or not I should post this because it is a shameless plug of sorts, but I decided to I finally updated my fanfiction, War of Nations on FFNet (if you read my blog it’s been up for a week or two there ). No “new” chapter so to speak, but I made a lot of changes to the old ones, and I’ve found the desire to work on new ones again. So around May 20th the next chapter will be up. If you read my fic before and liked it, I suggest reading it again because there are several major changes, which I point out at the bottom of each chapter. Read if you feel like it, reviews are appreciated whether they’re on FFNet or or my blog.

In a press release today, THQ announced the making of a new Avatar video game- Avatar: The Burning Earth. This video game will “follow the second season storyline as Aang teams up with friends to defend the greatest Earth Kingdom city against a deadly Fire Nation threat”. Is is scheduled for release this fall (specific dates will be posted when they are released) for Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, Wii, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance. Personally, I didn’t like the first video game much because it didn’t follow the story line of the series at all. Hopefully, this one will a little more if you go by the press release.
